Volunteer Basin Office Attendant
Volunteer Task Description
Volunteers are required to provide assistance to the basin officers during the busy holiday periods. Tasks may include; assisting boaters through the locks and the basins, answering queries from visitors and tourists about the basins and the surrounding area, attending the desk in the office and opening and closing lock gates.
Volunteer Person Specification
An enthusiasm for working outdoors in a canal setting is essential. No skills or experience is necessary as full instructions and training will be given on the task.
Commitment Required
Dates and times of commitment can be flexible to fit in with your own work commitments although we would require a regular commitment if training is provided. Weekday and weekend volunteer tasks are available.
